I began running later in life after I had my second child. I had never trained with a coach. When I reached out to Carolyn I was nervous yet excited to see what training with a coach would do for my running abilities. As a mother herself of multiple children, Carolyn understood the demands of daily life and the struggles of maintaining a running schedule. I presented my goals to her and she was able to beautifully tailor a training program that worked around my busy schedule as a mom of three. 

After having multiple half marathons under my belt, my biggest goal was to achieve a sub 2 hour half marathon. I never believed that I would be capable of doing it but Carolyn never had a doubt in her mind that I would be able to achieve this goal. She always allowed me grace when training runs wouldn’t go as planned, but she always pushed me the right amount to improve my fitness.  With her expertise, I was able to take my personal best of 2:05 all the way to 1:57.  Not only did she give me my PR for my half marathon, but she was able to help me shave off 48 mins (5:08 ->4:21) off my best full marathon time!

I have many more goals to achieve and without a doubt Carolyn will always be my trainer of choice. She believes in you when you don’t believe in yourself. She pushes you to the limit that she knows you’re capable of even when you don’t know yourself. But most importantly, she trains with compassion and understanding and knows that there is no “one size fits all” training plan. She will take all aspects of your life into consideration when creating your plan and will support and guide you all the way to the finish line.
